HOW YOU CAN HELP
SHOP DONATIONS
We are always grateful for donations of good quality clothes, shoes and accessories to sell in our pre-loved clothes shop. By accessories we mean bags, belts, scarves (woolly and otherwise), gloves, hats (not formal hats) and jewellery (earrings must be unworn). Any items that we are unable to sell are recycled via a third party.
As we sell pre-loved clothes, shoes and accessories only, we are unable to take donations of bric-a-brac, books, cds, baby equipment, electrical items to sell.
We also support a charity in Leicester called Open Hands, and act as a collection point for donations for them, in particular bedding, towels, household items and sleeping bags. All items must be new or as-new and fully laundered (if applicable). Check out their website for their current needs: Donate – Open Hands (openhandsleicester.org.uk) If you have large items or quantities to donate, please make arrangements directly with Open Hands e.g. furniture, white goods and TVs. N.B. due to us having very limited storage space we may not always be able to take donations for Open Hands. We would advise you contact us advance to check before visiting us.
Donations can be dropped off to us during our normal opening hours. Please do not leave items on the pavement as they risk being taken or damaged.
CASH DONATIONS
In order to continue and expand the work we do we need continued support from the community.
Donating with cash or cheque
Cash or cheque donations can be made in our shop or cafe during normal opening hours - remember to ask for a receipt. Cheques can also be posted to us at 45 High Street, Kibworth Beauchamp, Leics. LE8 0HS
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you may be able to increase the amount of your donation by 25% without it costing you a penny!
Donating through Gift Aid means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. Charities can claim Gift Aid on most donations. Please download a Gift Aid form HERE then complete the form and return it to us when you make your donation. To find out more about Gift Aid, go to www.gov.uk and search for 'Gift Aid'.
