The students of Kibworth Mead Academy have raised almost £1000 for The Well!  A number of fundraising events were at held at the school on the last day of term including a sponsored walk, cake sale and non-uniform day.

Thank you so much to everyone that got involved.  The money raised will be used to provide support services, including our food bank, for the people of Kibworth, Fleckney, Great Glen and surrounding villages.

Wellness Walks

Did you know that getting active outdoors is great for your mental and physical health and wellbeing?  The Well, in partnership with Cross Counties PCN, are running a monthly 'well-ness walk' on the first Thursday of each month.  It's open to anyone aged 18 or over of any ability.  The walk starts at The Well and takes around an hour.  On returning to The Well there's an opportunity to find out what support is available from your GP practice and other organisations in the community over refreshments.  No need to book - simply turn up."

Local Area Coordinators
We’re really pleased to announce that we’ve formed another new partnership to provide support and advice to the residents of Kibworth and surrounding villages.

Local Area Co-ordinators aim to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. This helps to reduce demand on public services (mainly health and social care), preventing people from reaching crisis, and requiring costly care and support services.

What do Local Area Co-ordinators help with?
  • Individuals: thinking about how to make life better and looking at what you have to offer
  • Connecting with others: linking people together and being part of a community
  • Information: finding out about what’s happening in your area and getting the right help from services
  • Taking action: making positive changes

If you would like to find out more, come to their first drop-in session on Thursday 25th August between 10am and 1pm in the Café @ The Well, 45 High Street, Kibworth (opposite the post office) or contact them here: Local area co-ordinators | Leicestershire County Council
