Daily Prayer

Loving Heavenly Father,
thank you for bringing us together today to work at The Well.

We ask your blessing on Kibworth and surrounding villages,
and on all who come into The Well.

Help us to create an atmosphere of welcome and acceptance, and to be sensitive to the needs of those we meet today.

May each feel blessed as they enter and take with them the love of God as they leave.

The Vision of The Well is of local people seeking to create Christian community through welcome, hospitality, care and prayer.

In the pursuit of this vision we currently aim to run projects such as a café, a charity shop and groups for older people, young people, and those with particular need or interests, a Food Bank and associated services – and offer our premises to support any project and organisations where people can find companionship, assistance, care and encouragement.

The Well is a place where people of any faith or none may find a real and heartfelt welcome.
There are opportunities for anyone who wishes to talk about Christian faith, whether out of mild interest or because they want to know more in order to make up their own minds about Christianity.

The Trustees and Managers who run the Well will work with teams of leads and volunteers to communicate and develop an understanding of the Well’s Vision.

The Sanctuary is the very special heart of life at The Well.  Prayer was the catalyst for the vision out of which The Well was born.  This room still hosts prayer activities on a daily basis both for individuals sitting quietly to reflect, and for prayer team members to lift to God those members of the community who are in need.

Our listening and outreach services take place in the Sanctuary, including Acorn Style Listening, a CAB Clinic and a free Legal Service.

If you would like to leave a prayer for yourself or someone you know, please write it on one of the plastic water shapes in the Sanctuary, date it and place it onto our ‘Prayer Waterfall’. Your prayer will then be lifted up daily.  Feedback is always welcome so we can pray intentionally and appropriately.

Are you tired?  Worn out?  Come to me.

Get away with me and you’ll recover your life.  I’ll show you how to take a real rest.

Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.

Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
