What is The Chatty Cafe Scheme?
The Chatty Cafe Scheme is the UK’s leading non‑profit social enterprise tackling loneliness and social isolation. They create simple, welcoming opportunities for people to connect in everyday places.

Chatter & Natter tables run in hundreds of cafés, community venues and public spaces across the UK. They’re friendly, open-to-all conversation tables where anyone can sit, chat and feel part of their community. Many are supported by brilliant volunteers who help make each table warm, inclusive and easy to join.

The purpose is to encourage human interaction and conversation, improving the lives of people affected by loneliness.

The mission is to reduce loneliness by building a national network of volunteer‑led Chatter & Natter tables that offer simple, low‑pressure moments of connection.

The vision is a UK where conversation is part of everyday life – a nationwide network of Chatter & Natter tables that bring people together, strengthen communities and help everyone feel they belong.

THE WELL FOOD BANK
The Well has been operating a food bank since the first covid lockdown in 2020.  It was set up to provide food and deliver hot meals to local people who were isolating, shielding or had no support network to help them with shopping.  It is now an established part of what we do and operates from its own premises in the heart of Kibworth, providing support to people in crisis.

We work in partnership with Leicester South Food Bank to be able to help people experiencing food poverty in Kibworth, Fleckney, Great Glen and surrounding villages.

To find out how to get help, click this link for more details:  Leicester South Foodbank | Get Help

You can also be referred to our food bank directly by an organisation that is supporting you e.g. a school, GP practice, social worker, advocate or support worker.  Our contact details can be found at the bottom of this page.  The Well works with a number of other charities and agencies to support food bank clients with issues such as welfare benefits, debt and budgeting, housing, domestic abuse and general health and wellbeing.  We can refer you to any of our partner agencies to ensure that you get the help that you need.
